This existing 1890's factory manager's house stands high on a creek bank, next to its red brick and painted wood twin. We restored the historic creekside front porch to mimic its twin, while adding to the rear a modern, informal addition that is immersed in the deeply forested side of the property. A Janus house with two faces, the interior spaces shift between modern and historic, open and controlled.
